About
I don't like to make a lot of noise about what I've done, I've won awards, which is nice but not imperative.
Chances are you've seen my work and have not realised it - I've designed complex interactive hardware solutions and interface designs for some of the world’s largest companies. Created thousands of illustrations and dozens of multilingual children's entertainment products as well as constructed commanding outdoor public artworks. This is all supported by a formal education including a communications degree, a master’s degree in law and extensive international business experience.

Outdoor Public Artwork
Alert
"Alert" explores the interaction of a digital environment and a tangible and physical environment. It is a representation of Australia’s natural and beautiful wildlife and captures an interesting and engaging subject that pays tribute to the natural world. This sculpture is currently residing at Sirromet Wines on the Gold Coast.

Virgin Airlines
The concept design is for a self-serve solution kiosk that embraces a modern aesthetic, seamlessly integrating functionality with sleek visuals. The kiosk is designed to be used within airport lounges for quick check-ins by incorporating a sophisticated scanning system.

Zanyfun & Learn
One of my first projects was to develop a series of children’s applications with vibrant visuals, interactive games, and engaging activities, these apps covered a spectrum of subjects, fostering curiosity and critical thinking. I did every aspect from design and programming to creating all the artwork.

Boral
I designed the hardware solution and project managed the implementation of a full automated solution for all of Boral’s (400) weighbridges across Australia. The hardware solution consisted of an IP rated, RCM certified, outdoor touchscreen enclosure, RFID readers and custom printing solution - working in conjunction with an autonomous number plate recognition system and custom software.

Porsche
This Porsche is a vector based drawing created in illustrator - one of my main go-to pieces of software for any design project. For me personally, vector illustration is one of the most satisfying and exciting creative outputs there is - once you've learned the basics it's pure enjoyment, playing with shapes and colour with the added benefits of complete scalability.

Event cinemas
The patented video solution emerged from an idea I had to produce a different user experience for cinemagoers. Its innovative features include adaptive video splitting for a seamless transmission between video and a touchscreen that a user can interact with. The touchscreen portion would appear as a user came near it and then disappeared when the user walked away. The custom PCB video board was built to my specifications. As well as Australia this has been deployed internationally.

The Premier Self-serve kiosk
I designed and engineered the "Premier" kiosk and project managed the installation across nearly 60 Australian Hoyts locations. This kiosk included an adaptive design that allowed for the easy change of hardware as technology evolves - this is an ongoing deployment. This kiosk has also been deployed in over 500 locations across the United States from fast food stores to gun shops.

Revrange MK1 off-road Racing Buggy
This was a 12 month project. I did all the design work in fusion360 this included the chassis and all the suspension components as well as the suspension geometry and extensive FEA testing. I hand laid all the fiberglass panels and created all the moulds for future production. I did virtually every part of this first vehicle from the intial concept to the final bolt. These race cars are now being sold around Australia and the US.

KFC
The deployment of self-serve kiosks in fast-food restaurants has revolutionised the dining experience, enhancing efficiency and convenience. This is an implementation of the Nuvo kiosk - a wall-mounted kiosk I designed that features an exceptionally large print roll hidden within the layered design.

Signpost101
Signpost101 is an easy to use, comprehensive wayfinding solution design to direct, inform & manage visitors and staff. As the name suggests this will help a visitor to "find the way” to their destination. This application is still in use in a couple of locations across Australia but in reality it's a legacy application as I wrote and created it in Flash (as3). I've included the animation explainer I did for the project and further details can be found via the project link.

Revrange Components - sandrail buggy
This is a project that is still in the initial design stage - I’ve done the concept drawings and finished all the 3d renders and have now started the production of the body panels. This is being designed as a four seater sandrail buggy - with a view to be sold into the United States in kit form - I’ll add a project link as it progresses.

Equestrian Fusion
"Equestrian Fusion" is a steel outdoor artwork that captures the graceful power and spirit of horses through a modern, dynamic, and abstract interpretation. The composition of the artwork is a harmonious interplay of fluid lines and geometric angles. From a distance, the viewer is drawn to the overall appearance of the horses, their forms morphing into one another, suggesting a sense of unity and shared purpose.

How I can help
My strength is taking an idea and making it reality.
Conceptual design
Conceptual design is the merging of aesthetics and functionality. I determine key features and establish a design framework for production. This initial phase sets the tone for subsequent development, guiding the evolution of the product with a focus on innovation, user experience, and thoughtful design.
Prototyping & Testing
In the prototyping and testing process, I bring design concepts to life. Through iterative refinement, I test for functionality and user satisfaction, ensuring a user-centric approach. This hands-on process accelerates innovation, identifies issues early, and optimizes the path to market and delivering products.
Public Artworks & commissioning
Crafting public artworks through commissions is a collaborative journey. I delve into site-specific designs that resonate with the community, adding cultural vibrancy to shared spaces. The process involves meticulous planning and conceptualisation to bring artistic expressions to life. Commissioning, ensures my work fosters engagement and contributes to the visual tapestry of public environments.
Enterprise App Design
In enterprise app development, it's key that programming management skills take center stage. I plan and code tailored solutions, emphasizing scalability, security, and seamless integration. From requirements analysis to deployment, I ensure that the custom application not only optimises workflows but also is wrapped in an appropriate UI to enhance the user experience.
Project management
In my project management role, I meticulously plan, coordinate, and lead teams to success. From conceptualization to execution, I ensure clear communication, risk mitigation, and adherence to timelines. This hands-on approach enables seamless collaboration, effective problem-solving, and the successful delivery of high-quality projects that meet or exceed objectives.
Illustration
As an illustrator, the creative process is a dynamic journey. Each project becomes a canvas for storytelling through visuals, blending my style with clients requirements. Research is an essential step, allowing me to capture the essence and convey messages effectively.
